JAY (Lead Vocals & Manager):

Ever since I was a kid, singing has been a passion of mine.  My favorite genres include classic rock, blues and R & B.  I've been inspired by a wide variety of artists dating back to the 60's through the present.  After singing lead with a local rock band "Sunset Riders", in 2015 Scott Carey, our lead guitarist, and I co-founded Sound Dunes. and have been performing in the Bay Area ever since.  It's a real pleasure singing in a band that not only wants to deliver great tunes, but has fun in the process.

SCOTT (Lead Guitar):

I have been playing in rock bands ever since high school.  Guitars, amps and music have been a great source of joy throughout my life.  My focus is on great tone and serving the song.  Among others, my favorite players and inspirations include Jeff Beck, Mark Knopfler, David Gilmour, Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore.

PHILIPPE (Guitar & Vocals):

I've  enjoyed singing for as long as I can remember.  As a kid, discovering the likes of Chuck Berry, Elvis and Clapton opened the door for my passion for music.  My formal music education started with piano, but it was when I was introduced to the iconic Chuck Berry shuffle on guitar that I was hooked.  Today, I enjoy a lot of different music, especially if it's authentic and performed with heart and soul .  It feels right when it shakes you to the core and won't leave you ever again.   Collaborating with other amazing musicians is the ultimate way for me to enjoy a groove, beat, melody or a silent pause.

​KURT (Bass & Vocals):​

​Born and raised in the Bay Area, my musical path began with classical piano training as a child. That early grounding in theory and melody eventually led me to guitar, but it was the bass that became my true voice.  I was heavily influenced by ’70s rock—particularly Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, The Beatles and the artistry of David Bowie.  Today, I enjoy a wide range of music from the ’60s through the late ’90s, all of which informs a playing style that blends groove, melody, and a deep appreciation for the evolution of modern rock.

CRAIG (Drums / Percussion):

I have been playing the drums for a good part of my life. I am also a huge fan of playing and listening to classic rock, which is timeless.  I had the privilege of joining Sound Dunes in 2022 and never get tired of playing live and watching our friends and fans dance and enjoy the music that we love to play. ​​
